How to Spot a Fake Email - Coinbase Example

The crypto world, and the online finance world in general, is rife with scammers and people who want to steal your crypto.
In this video, we cover how to spot a fake – phishing – email from Coinbase. This info will also help you avoid most fake emails that are trying to get unauthorized access to your accounts.
Enjoy!
IMPORTANT: One important thing I forgot to include in this video is the importance of the DOT.
The dot is the demarcation point of where a domain name starts and ends.
For example:
myname@abc123.celebrium.com IS an email from Celebrium.com.
myname@abc123-celebrium.com is NOT from Celebrium because there is no dot IMMEDIATELY BEFORE Celebrium.com.
myname@1234.abc567-celebrium.com is also not from Celebrium.
The DOT is the demark. If you do not see a dot immediately before the domain name you’re looking for, then it’s not actually from that company.
Hope this helps.
